Flat Iron Wildcats Mission  To teach and fund Trap Neuter Release manage programs in East Kensington/Fishtown To advocate for compassion education  To work with the City Of Philadelphia to enact Trap Neuter Release Manage regulations

What is Flat Iron Wild Cats? We are an education advocacy and funding arm working to relieve the suffering of stray and feral cats Flat Iron Wild Cats works with the neighbors of East Kensington and Fishtown to humanely control the Feral/Stray cat population through Trap Neuter Release Manage.

Flat Iron Wild Cats will lend out humane traps for cats to be trapped and fixed to prevent reproduction as well as vaccination to prevent the spread of disease and  unnecessary  animal suffering

Flat Iron Wild Cats will assist with navigating the process of getting an appointment to have the cats in a colony treated by low cost clinics. In cases where funding is needed Flat Iron Wild cats will provide at least partial funding for needed treatment of feral cats.

Flat Iron Wild Cats cannot provide transport of animals, nor are we a foster program and we do not have a shelter site. Those that are interested in adopting a cat should refer to the list of organizations on our web site or petfinder.org There are always tons of needy Kitties at ACCT 111 Hunting Park Ave Phila Pa

Flat Iron Wildcats works with colonies here in the East Kensington/Fishtown area of Philadelphia to help reduce the number of cats forced to live on the street (or worse yet, ending up at Animal Control).
Andy
We work with the care givers to successfully trap and sterilize cats living in their colony. We test for FIV&FeLV, vaccinate against disease, and treat for ear mites and other ailments. We have successfully TNR’ed over twenty cats from two of our neighborhood’s colonies in the past year alone! We have also had success in finding wonderful forever homes for adoptable cats in these colonies.

The Flat Iron Wildcat compound is home to Noori, Starla, Itchy, Andy, Oliver, Francine, Momma, and Sara. They have all been spayed or neutered and live in a utopic montage of all weather shelters and garden statuary.
