Wally was dumped behind a Wal-mart as a young kitten at a managed feral cat colony. His former “owners” probably thought this was a good idea however this only compounds the challenges of a TNR effort at a managed colony. TNR must be repeated frequently to be effective in combating the rise in numbers of un-sterilized dumped cats. Wally was trapped in a humane trap and brought to the clinic where he was noticed to be friendly – just scared. Flat iron Wildcats decided to foster him. Wally stayed at the compound almost a year recovering from the trauma of being dumped and getting used to people again. Wally met his new family when they came to meet the kitties at Flat Iron. They fell in love with his big green eyes. He was apprehensive at first but after lots of patience and love Wally has realized he is finally and forever home. |
